Roles and Permissions

There are three different roles in Magelon Feeds: Owner, Manager, and Editor. Each role comes with different levels of access and responsibilities:

Owner

As the account creator, once you register in Magelon Feeds and add your credit card details, you automatically become the Owner of the subscription, merchants, and teams. The owner has full control over the entire system, including:

  • Merchant Management: You can create, delete, and restore merchant accounts. Keep in mind that the monthly subscription cost is adjusted based on the number of merchants you manage.

  • Feed Optimization Management: Full access to manage feeds, segments, rules, tags, and exclusions for all merchant accounts.

  • Team Management: You can create, rename, edit, and delete teams, invite new members, assign or change roles, and remove team members.

  • Billing Management: You can view billing information and access the billing portal to set or update credit card details.

Manager

The Manager role focuses primarily on team management, but with restrictions compared to the owner:

  • Merchant Management: Full access to create, delete, and restore merchant accounts for the teams they manage.

  • Feed Optimization Management: Full access to manage feeds, segments, rules, tags, and exclusions for the merchant accounts in their team.

  • Team Management: Managers have permissions similar to owners but cannot create or rename teams.

  • Billing Management: Managers can view billing details but cannot modify payment information or access the billing portal.

Editor

The Editor role is the most limited, focusing on feed optimization with no control over merchants or teams:

  • Merchant Management: No access.

  • Feed Optimization Management: Full access to manage feeds, segments, rules, tags, and exclusions for the merchant accounts in their team.

  • Team Management: No access to team management, but editors can leave a team if needed.

  • Billing Management: No access.

Each role is designed to allow flexibility in managing teams, merchants, and feeds, while maintaining control over different areas depending on responsibilities.
